Slug's (Sean Daley) nickname as a child was "Sluggo" or "Little Sluggo", a name that evolved into his MC name Slug. Ant (Anthony Davis)'s name I feel is a little more direct, simply being a nickname for his real first name. Maybe there is deeper, metaphorical reasoning for the names. Perhaps the insect imagery and connotations of Sean and Anthony being normal looking (some may argue, "ugly"). A theme which arises often in their music, and shit, entire albums- see Godlovesugly, obviously. But that's shit that I think only Slug or Ant themselves could really divulge.
