You Need This Music: Classified, Evidence, Median, Planet Asia, Jelani

After a long rainy weekend, here’s some good hip hop to get you started for the week. Bringing you a couple dope singles and a few videos from some underground hip hop heavyweights, check.

1.) Classified – This Day Doesn’t Die

Off his latest album Handshakes and Middle Fingers which is available here via iTunes comes the video for “This Day Doesn’t Die” by Classified. Class reminds us that life’s tough but you gotta get through it, there’s also a bit of another track off the album throughout the credits.

2.) Evidence ft. Fashawn – Same Folks

Over the week I dropped the preview for you and then realized the full video was in the inbox. Check out this joint “Same Folks” by Evidence off his upcoming Rhymesayers debut album Cats and Dogs. The track features the California rep Fashawn

3.) Median – Bright Individual [Prod. Khrysis]


Here’s the new song titled “Bright Individual” by Median produced by Khrysis. This is a release off of the upcoming The Sender project slated for August 16th presented to you by the Foreign Exchange group as well as Jamla.

4.) Planet Asia – Air Balloon

Planet Asia’s been around for a minute, and he’s still doing his thing well. Check out the video for the song “Air Balloon.” It’s off of the Crack Belt Theatre project and it’s available on iTunes now, show some love.

5.) Jelani – The Extravaganza [Prod. Durkin]


And last but not least is “The Extravaganza” by Harlem spitter Jelani produced by his boy Durkin as usual. “The Extravaganza” is a fresh lyrical beat down over a perfectly fitting beat, this is not tied to any project that I’m aware of.
