You Need This Music: Prof, Macklemore, Kid Daytona, Talib Kweli, Jean Grae, Diamond District

I won’t accept the fact that Summer is almost over and it’s turning into Fall, so I will continue to party in shorts and a t every weekend until it snows. Oh yeah, you need this music…

1.) Prof – King Gampo

This week Prof dropped King Gampo, a free album produced by Dylan Parker and co-produced by Jacob Anderson. He’s currently on tour with Atmosphere on the Family Vacation Tour for a few stops out on the west coast. Check it out, it’s free!

2.) Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton – Can’t Hold Us

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis drop this new track “Can’t Hold Us” and feature Ray Dalton on it. I can easily say I’ve listened to this over a dozen times this week. They’re currently on tour with Rock The Bells and you can cop tickets here if you’ve been under a rock and didn’t realize it might be in a city near you, and if it’s not you should reconsider your location. Other than that you can purchase the track through iTunes to show these dope upcoming artists some love.

3.) Kid Daytona – Summertime In The City

Nice video came out over the week for the track “Summertime In The City” by Kid Daytona. It’s off a compilation project available now called What’s Poppin Vol. 1 by Peter Rosenberg.

4.) Talib Kweli ft. Jean Grae – Uh Oh

We finally got some nice visuals from Talib Kweli and Jean Grae. They team up together to drop a video for the joint “Uh Oh” off Gutter Rainbows which you should snag via iTunes here after you watch the video.

5.) Diamond District ft. Fat Trel – Tol’ U So [Prod. AB The Pro]

Here’s the last joint I’m bringing you this week, it’s “Tol’ U So” by Diamond District featuring Fat Trel. Produced by AB The Pro this is off Uptown XO’s Monumental 2 coming to you August 30th so be on the look out.
