You Need This Music: Co$$, Toki Wright, Phonte, Truck North, Maticulous

1.) Co$$ – Leimert Park [Prod. Exile]


Exile has a mixtape coming up called Intro To The Outro, it’s set to drop on August 31st. It’s being presented by the generous and talented people over at LRG and Dirty Science. Here’s a track off that called “Liemert Park” and it features rapper Co$$. Remember you can cop his album Before I Awoke on iTunes now too.

2.) Toki Wright ft. Yakub – Real Live

Soon Toki Wright is dropping the album Channels via Rhymesayers sometime in the near future. Until then he dropped this fresh video for “Real Live” featuring Yakub after giving a short preview earlier in the week. You can check out a couple tour dates and snag his album A Different Mirror over at his Rhymesayers Page.

3.) Phonte ft. eLZhi – Not Here Anymore [Prod. 9th Wonder]


Over the week came the song “Not Here Anymore” by Phonte featuring eLZhi. It’s produced by 9th Wonder and it’s off the upcoming Charity Starts At Home slated to drop on September 27th.

4.) Truck North – Indivisible


Here’s a track called “Indivisible” by Truck North in anticipation of his Told You So mixtape. I haven’t listened to a lot of his track but this joint is definitely going to make me look into him a little more.

5.) Maticulous – Mello Instros


Last but not least here’s an instrumental project by maticulous. The name is Mello Instros, it’s a collection of real chill beats and I’ve been playing it this week a solid amount, makes me wanna just kick it on the beach. It’s produced and arranged by maticulous, the cuts are by DJ Brace, and it’s mixed by The Audible Doctor. Summer’s not over yet.
