Nike Releases DJ AM and DJ Premier Sneakers
Today marks the early release date of the Nike Dunks designed by late DJ Adam Goldstein aka DJ AM along with Air Force Ones designed by legendary DJ Premier.
The shoes will be available exclusively until January 9 from Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer Street in New York City and Nike Sportswear at the Montalban in LA, according to Freshness. This pre-release sale will offer both shoes enclosed in a custom box along with color-coordinated Serato vinyl.
The official date of release for both shoes is Saturday, January 9, when they will become available at select retailers across the country. These shoes, which were originally intended to serve as an installment in the East-Coast-vs-West-Coast rivalry series, was put on halt following Goldstein’s passing in August of last year. The “rivalry” aspect has supposedly been dropped since, out of respect for the late iconic DJ.
All of the proceeds from the Sportswear release benefit the DJ AM Memorial Fund.
