Red Bull Big Tune 2010 Tour Stops Announced
Red Bull’s roving beat-battle showcase will continue into 2010, with the new set of slated cities being announced late last week. Initial qualifying rounds will take place in ten cities across the U.S..
The showcase pits local producers against one another in single-elimination rounds, with each city’s best beatmakers striving for the victory. The top two from each qualifying round will advance to a national event held in Chicago in the fall, where one producer will be crowned the winner of the Big Tune battle.
Grand prize winner will receive a chance to collaborate with an A-list artist at the Red Bull Studio in Los Angeles. Previous winners have worked with Youngbuck and Nas; The 2009 winner, Frank Duke of Toronto, will be announced later in the summer.
This year’s qualifying events will take place in the following cities:
- Philadelphia – May 19, 2010
- Los Angeles – May 27, 2010
- San Francisco – June 4, 2010
- Denver – June 24, 2010
- Seattle – September 2, 2010
- Minneapolis – September 24, 2010
- St. Louis – October 7, 2010
- Ann Arbor/ Detroit – October 21, 2010
- Virginia Beach – TBD
