Scifen Announces Their Return And Releases 2010 Catalogue
After a two year hiatus, Scifen has returned! Owner Barmak Badaei announced their new beginning and dropped photos of their 2010 collection. Scifen has been a part of the urban clothing and music scene for years. From the t-shirt I own of a break-dancing elephant to collaborative projects and albums with independent hip-hop artists such as Yak Ballz, who was once a member of the now defunct indie label Definitive Jux. They are looking forward to a fresh start and we are looking forward to seeing future collections and projects. Check out the photos below showcasing some pieces from their 2010 collection. Visit their website to see all color variations available for the clothing shown below.
Message from Scifen’s creator/owner:
“So, here we are again, back to square one. It’s been about two years since our website suddenly went from what it was to a simple page that read “Gone Fishing.” I’m sure after about a few months some of you began to wonder, “Where in the world did you go fishing, and when are you coming back?” Well, I was wondering the same thing myself, or better yet, “How the fuck did I get on this fishing trip and when can I go back home?” The past two years have definitely been an experience to say the least. Throughout it, we have all in some way endured our own trials and tribulations. Fighting to find a way back to something normal or just familiar again, but no matter what, through it we have all changed.
I am the last person to want to sit and talk about myself, but for this first post I think it is somewhat warranted. I am excited to be able to get back to creating again. I started this brand from just an idea that I had when I was about 18 years young. At that time, I was extremely curious about the future yet highly eager to pursue it, and to an advantage those are a couple of the greatest qualities of our youth. It’s been over 10 years since that little idea of mine has lead me to where I am today, right back to square one with just my idea again. Ironically, it is very much like the beginning; I am eager to create, share, learn and grow. It’s these simple pursuits that we all embody, and which is known to me as, The Scifen Company.
One last thing before we get this show on the road. I want to thank every single one of our supporters. You’re a big part of why I am still here, doing what I am doing. When you hear us say, “Fam” we are referring to you. I hope you haven’t forgotten about us, because we haven’t forgot about you.
With much love and respect,
Barmak Badaei”
