MF Doom’s Operation: Doomsday To Be Officially Reissued

Underground rapper MF Doom's debut album, Operation Doomsday, will be receiving a VIP re-release complete with plenty of extra goods and available in both CD format and on vinyl.Doom’s much-sought-after debut album will be receiving the royal re-release treatment.

Bundled with plenty of extra goodies, MF Doom’s Operation: Doomsday is slated for a reissue this spring. The new version, being released by Doom’s own label, Metalface Records, will offer fans a slew of new content and some slick packaging to tie everything together.

The new package will feature the original album, alternate versions, b-sides and instrumentals. The release will feature a total of 51 tracks, complete with all-new artwork.

All of the material will be offered in two deluxe packages, one featuring two CDs in a metal lunchbox, and the other containing four LPs for the collection. Both of these packages will also come with a 32-page lyric book and 10 cards, featuring images of the Doomsday MCs.

The new release doesn’t have a street date as of yet, but Stones Throw Records has announced that they will be offering an advance sale on both of the format options.
