Ill Bill and Vinnie Paz Announce ‘Heavy Metal Kings’ Album Release Date

Ill Bill is a well-known independent/underground MC as the leader of the group Non-Phixion. Vinnie Paz is well known as a founder of both Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of the Pharoahs. The two are teaming up for a self-titled Heavy Metal Kings album, recently announcing the album's release date.Vinnie and Bill are preparing to release their single-inspired group album.

Stemming from the collaborative track, “Heavy Metal Kings”, by Vinnie Paz’s Jedi Mind Tricks which featured Ill Bill, the two lyricists have now teamed up to debut an official group release baring the same name.

Although ‘Paz and ‘Bill have worked together on various projects, the Heavy Metal Kings album will mark the first full-length collaborative project between the two. The album is currently scheduled for an April 5 release via Uncle Howie and Enemy Soil Records.

The duo released their first single, “Keeper Of The Seven Keys”, produced by C-Lance. In addition, the album will feature production credits from DJ Muggs, ILL Bill, Shuko, Sicknature, C-Lance, Grand Finale, Jack of All Trades, Junior Makhno, Vherbal and more. Guest appearances on the track will include Reef The Lost Cauze, Bill’s La Coka Nostra collaborator, Slaine, Q-Unique and more.

According to the Jedi Mind Tricks website, ‘Bill and ‘Paz are planning a Heavy Metal Kings tour, although no dates have been announced. The two will perform tracks from their extensive combined discography, including their solo works and other tracks from the both MCs’ respected group projects: Jedi Mind Tricks, Non-Phixion, La Coka Nostra, and Army of the Pharaohs.

Both Vinnie Paz and Ill Bill released critically-acclaimed solo albums in 2010. Paz’s Season of the Assassin dropped in June and Ill Bill’s collaborative album with Cypress Hill DJ/producer, DJ Muggs, Kill Devil Hills, was released in August.

Ill Bill has also said that he’s planning a collaborative album with New York MC Sean Price, slated to be titled The Pill. No release date has been set, but Bill has said the album will come about, “when the planets align.”
