Little Brother Announces Final Album Release

LeftbackNorth Carolina-based group Little Brother, consisting of MCs Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh has announced that they will be releasing their fourth and final album in April of this year.

The group’s next release will be titled LeftBack, the working title for a once-planned EP release, but fans should be aware that their final record will be a full-length project. The album will be released on April 20 via Hall of Justus.

“I wanted to walk away from Little Brother knowing that I gave our fans all that I had to give, and said everything I wanted to say,” says Phonte, who’s other project, The Foreign Exchange, was recently nominated for a Grammy.

LeftBack will feature production from many acclaimed beatsmiths, including regular Little Brother contributor Khrysis — who will also contribute guest vocals on the album — Denaun Porter, Zo! and King Karnov.

This release will be accompanied by some specific goodies that haven’t been available for previous albums. Most notably, the group will release four music videos shot and directed by Matt Koza. In addition, the first pressing of albums will include a limited edition DVD ripe with tour footage and backstage video. Following the initial pressing, there will also be a special DVD-only release of this footage.
