Zion I and The Grouch Announce ‘Heroes In The Healing of The Nation’ Album Tracklist and Tour Dates

Bay Area duo, Zion I and the The Grouch recently announced plans to release their second collaborative album. In addition, they revealed that they'll be embarking on a nation-wide tour to promote their 'Heroes In The Healing of The Nation' release. The Bay Area trio is realigning for a follow-up to their 2006 group effort.

Zumbi, Amp Live and The Grouch announced this week that they’re planning the release of the second Zion I and The Grouch album, along with an accompanying nation-wide tour with appearances from Blu, One Be Lo and other guests.

The second group album, titled Heroes In The Healing of The Nation, will take at least naming cues from the highly-acclaimed 2006 effort, Heroes In The City of Dope.

The album has a tone of positive energy — as with much of Zion I’s work as a duo. “Anyone changing other peoples lives for the better is a hero to me,” said the Grouch in a statement about the release.

“People are going through a difficult transition these days,” Zumbi added. “We want this album to aid in that process.”

According to the group’s website, Amp Live will be handling the majority of the new release’s production, with The Grouch focusing more on rapping for the newest effort.

Heroes In The Healing of The Nation will also feature a number of guest appearances. Brother Ali, Fashawn, Casual, Freeway and Los Rakas will all play a part in the album, among others.
