Apathy Announces ‘Honkey Kong’ Release Date
The Demigodz veteran finally reveals the release date for his upcoming album.
Connecticut MC Apathy announced via Facebook last night that his newest effort, Honkey Kong, has finally received an official release date. Marking just his third official solo offering, Ap revealed that the album will be available by the end of the summer.
Honkey Kong is scheduled for a release date of August 23.
The first release since 2009′s Wanna Snuggle?, Apathy also recently revealed that he’ll be releasing The Primate Mindstate EP along with a new mixtape in tandem with Honkey Kong.
The Army of the Pharaohs MC has dropped small amounts of information about the release over the last few months, offering guest appearances and production credits to fans on his Facebook and Twitter pages. Now, a more-cumulative list is available. The album is slated to feature beats from numerous well-respected and legendary producers, including DJ Premier, DJ Muggs, Evidence, Statik Selektah and more. In addition, the album will feature appearances from MCs such as Xzibit, Vinnie Paz, Ill Bill and more.
The new album will be put out on Dirty Version Records.
