DJ Muggs and Ill Bill Prep ‘Kill Devil Hills’ Album, Features Appearances from Raekwon, B-Real, Sean P

Ill Bill & DJ Muggs Collaborate
Cypress Hill’s in-house DJ and producer, DJ Muggs, and east-coast underground stalwart, Ill Bill, will be teaming up to produce the latest installment in Muggs’ Vs. series, with the album Kill Devil Hills due out August 24, the two announced yesterday.

Ill Bill is, “a huge Muggs fan,” and is honored be working with the legendary beatsmith, said the Non-Phixion founder. Muggs says that he’s, “a producer to the fullest extent,” and likes to have a lot of involvement with the creation of all of the projects he’s a part of, rather than, “just sending out beat CDs.”

The album is set to feature appearances from many artists, including Raekwon, Cypress Hill’s B-Real, Sean Price and more.

Hills, which is being released as DJ Muggs vs. Ill Bill, will be the third album in the line of DJ Muggs’ Vs. series. Previous counterparts for these projects have been Psycho Realm’s Sick Jacken and GZA.

Ill Bill’s latest release, with his group La Coka Nostra, was titled A Brand You Can Trust, and released last summer. DJ Muggs produced the brunt of Cypress Hill’s 2010 album, Rise Up. The two have previously collaborated on Bill’s most recent solo album, Hour of Reprisal, on the tracks “This Is Who I Am” and “Only Time Will Tell”. They will also be performing together at this year’s Rock The Bells tour.

The album will be released via Fat Beat Records.
