Paper Tiger Set To Release ‘Made Like Us’ July 27
One of the two main in-house producers of the Minneapolis Doomtree mega-crew, Paper Tiger, is gearing up to release his debut album-length solo effort, Made Like Us, on July 27 of this year.
The producer and road DJ who is easily-identifiable by his signature white sunglasses will be releasing an 11-track record that is, “firmly rooted as a production record,” according to a press release sent out this week. In addition to various appearances from DTR crew-members Dessa, P.O.S. and Sims, the record is slated to receive a signature genre-bending treatment that has defined Paper Tiger’s past production efforts.
Some of his past credits have come from some of the Doomtree crew’s most notable tracks, including Mike Mictlan’s “Game Over”, first released on Doomtree’s collective debut and “Low Light Low Life” by P.O.S., from his critically acclaimed disc, Never Better, a track which featured appearances by Dessa and Sims.
In addition, the crew has announced plans for a national tour during the second half of 2010. Dates and stops have yet to be announced.
