Felt 3 Celebrity Tribute Released!

felt3First it was Christina Ricci, then Lisa Bonet… It has just been confirmed by Rhymesayers that Felt 3 will tribute White Man Can’t Jump’s Rosie Perez!

Hype about the third Felt release started when Rhymesayers posted a video on YouTube a couple of weeks ago on August 10th. Shortly after, Slug and MURS introduced Aesop Rock as the producer for the new album (following in the foot steps of The Grouch and Ant) during a concert in Colorado. Be sure to mark your calendars for November 17th of this year for the Felt 3 release. Check out the news update from Rhymesayers’ site below for additional info:

“B-List actresses be warned and flattered because FELT is back! Slug (Atmosphere) and Murs (Living Legends) reunite for their third release from moniker FELT. These MCs teamed up with The Grouch (Living Legends) in 2002 to release FELT’s debut album A Tribute to Christina Ricci. Collaborating with producer Ant (Atmosphere) in 2005 resulted in their second coming A Tribute to Lisa Bonet. With the fresh addition of Aesop Rock (Def Jux) on production and unwavering love for those forgotten actresses who warmed their hearts, Slug and Murs are pleased to present FELT 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez dropping 11.17.09 on Rhymesayers Entertainment.

  1. Wow, The Grouch produced the first one? That does explain why I never listen to it. No offense to Grouch, I’m sure he’d agree that Ant is a way better beatsmith than he is…and I DO still bump Fuck the Dumb.

    Like, way too often.

  2. Agreed. And Ant is at the top of his game right now, especially with sampling. If the production on the rest of the album is anything like the production on the first single “Protagonists”, we should be in for a treat. I have faith in Aesop Rock.

  3. I agree 100% I just said something about that lately, listening to some old Lucy Ford and I realized that Ant’s sample game has seriously come up like crazy. His sampling is excellent, top notch.

I think this album is going to move tons of units. Seriously, this is getting crazy hype on the net right now.
