Pharoahe Monch To Release 60-Minute Film Based On Track 'Assassins'Monch reveals plans for a number of new visuals from his latest album, including an hour-long film.

Pharoahe Monch, in an interview with aboveGround, revealed yesterday that he has plans to release at least three additional music videos from his latest album, We Are Renegades. In addition, he said, he has plans to do a full-hour-long film based on the track “Assassins”.

Monch explained in the interview that he’s planning to release four additional videos — aside from “Clap” and “Black Hand Side”, which have already been released. Right now, he’s planning to give the visual treatment to “W.A.R.”, “Still Standing”, “The Grand Illusion” and the Jean Grae- and Royce 5’9″-assisted “Assassins”.

“[Releasing a record] is a year-long process now with independent labels,” the rapper explained. “I feel like this is halftime to be honest.”

The story-line for the 60-minute video will be written by himself, he said, although work on the film has yet to begin. According to Monch, fans should expect to see “Still Standing” hit the Internet next, with a summer release, followed by work on the “Assassins” film.

Outside of continuing to promote his 2011 release, Monch also revealed that he’s already working on the next project. He didn’t provide any details, but he did explain that there are still a number of producers he’s hoping to work with, including DJ Premier and Madlib.
