Love + Padlocks = Community Art

Apparently this has been a rising trend over the past two years in Paris. This fence, which is located at the Pont de Ares, has become a place for couples to “secure” their love for one another — attaching padlocks to the fence that overlooks the water to signify their commitment. Hundreds of locks have found their way to the fence, and the government has taken notice. Although they’re already announced plans to remove them from the area, no steps have been taken to actually do so, according to reports.
