QN5 ‘Megafans’ Blog About Their Experiences Traveling To Label’s Megashow

QN5 'Megafans' Blog About Their Long-Distance Travel To Label's MegashowQN5 “blue schoolers” share their experiences traveling hundreds and thousands of miles to see their favorite acts.

Over the weekend, New York-based indie label, QN5, launched a new site dedicated to their most diehard fans. The site — the QN5 Megafans blog — is a place for fans to chronicle their cross-country and even international journeys to New York for the imprint’s yearly whole-roster Megashow.

With contributors on the blog traveling from places like Los Angeles and Houston to the UK and New Zealand, these fans are preparing to embark on a massive trip for the one-night event. Many of them say they’ve made plans to stay for multiple days, turning the trip into a short vacation. Others — like Shannen from New Zealand — are just stopping by for the show as they take much larger trips.

Over 20 hardcore QN5 fans have already begun to blog about their experience leading up to the trip, offering stories, photos and videos explaining where they’re coming from, their plans for the show and memories from shows in previous years. Read the blog entries at QN5.com/megafans2011.

The event touts appearances from each of the acts currently signed or affiliated with QN5 — Tonedeff, PackFM, CunninLynguists, Substantial, Kokayi and more.

The QN5 Megashow will take place at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on August 19. Tickets for the show are $15 and can be purchased from TicketWeb.
