Homeboy Sandman Signs to Stones Throw
The New York MC inks a deal with LA-based Stones Throw.
Today, news surfaced via 2DopeBoyz that the New York MC Homeboy Sandman recently signed a deal with the Stones Throw imprint that artists such as MF DOOM, Madlib, Aloe Blacc and others have all called home.
“[I] inked with [Stones Throw] last week,” Homeboy Sandman told the blog in an e-mail. He continued by thanking the two blog owners (Shake and Meka) for their role in his progress. “Without ya’ll [I] would never have been in the position to do that,” he wrote. “The support and visibility ya’ll have given me has really changed my career.”
It’s unclear at this time when Boy Sand may be dropping his next effort. It’s been over a year since the release of his latest record, The Good Sun, on High Water Music last Summer.
