‘Blakroc 2′ To Feature Talib Kweli, U God, Jay Electronica, Sean Price, More
Dame Dash’s imprint reveals details about the upcoming Blakroc sequel.
This week, DD172, the imprint owned by Dame Dash, released a new video for the upcoming Blakroc 2, which is set to feature a number of notable MC guest appearances.
Among the artists listed as contributors to the project are names like Talib Kweli, Wu-Tang’s U God, Jay Electronica, Sean Price and many others.
Although the project hasn’t been given an official release date, the video does say that it’s “coming soon”. This will be second effort in the series that combines the music and production of the Ohio-based rock band The Black Keys with rapping from some of hip hop’s most well-known artists. The first installment, simply titled Blakroc, was released in 2009 and featured appearances from Ludacris, RZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Raekwon, Mos Def, Pharaohe Monch and more.
