Rakim, ?uestlove, Black Thought, J.Period to Perform at POPPED! Music Festival in Philly
The four huge rap acts prepare to perform at the Philly event.
The POPPED! Music Festival scheduled for this weekend in Philadelphia, PA is slated to host a number of big-name hip hop names, including Rakim, The Roots’ ?uestlove and Black Thought as well as mixtape DJ J. Period, organizers announced.
According to concert’s official site, Rakim will be performing a full solo set, Black Thought and J. Period will be performing together — most likely in the live mixtape format that the two artists have been performing at recent events — and ?uestlove will be performing a DJ set.
The event was initially scheduled to take place at FDR park, but due to forecasts calling for bad weather, it was recently moved to Temple University’s Liacouras Center.
