DJ Premier, X-Ecutioners, More to Perform at Roc Raida Tribute in Brooklyn
Many notable and legendary acts fill the bill for the deceased turntablist.
DJ Premier, the X-Ecutioners clan, A-Trak and Stretch Armstrong have all been announced as performers for an upcoming tribute show dedicated to the late Roc Raida.
The former X-Men member, Raida, was a highly-revered DJ and turntablist, crowned the world’s foremost DJ in 1995 after winning the DMC Championships. He backed a number of notable artists such as Busta Rhymes, Jungle Brothers, Mad Skillz and Smif-N-Wessun.
He passed away in 2009 from cardiac arrest. He was 37 years old.
The show is slated to take place on October 25 at the Brooklyn Bowl. Tickets are $25.00 and all proceeds will go toward DJ Roc Raida’s family.
