?uestlove Talks New Roots Album, 'Undun', Features Big K.R.I.T., PhonteThe funky drummer gives a little info on the upcoming Roots LP.

Speaking to Billboard.com, The Roots’ ?uestlove revealed that the group has completed work on their new LP, Undun. He continued, offering some details about the previously-revealed concept behind the album and the guests that will make appearances.

“We actually completed [the album] at five [o'clock] this morning, so it’s officially done,” he told Billboard about what will be group’s 13th LP since their debut in 1993, Organix!.

Questo continued by explaining the premise behind the album, which was earlier revealed as the group’s first concept record. “It’s essentially a biographical narrative about Redford Stephens,” he said about the album. “Stephens [is] a composite of four or five people that we’ve known over the past few years from Philadelphia,” he explained, saying that the album will tell the story of Stephens’s life in reverse chronological order.

In addition, Questo revealed the relatively-light guest feature list for the album. Big K.R.I.T. and Little Brother’s Phonte will both make appearances.

The Roots’ LP, Undun, is scheduled for release on December 6 from Def Jam.
