Tanya Morgan Releases First Single From New EP, ‘You & What Army?’
The now-duo Tanya Morgan introduces their newest track form the upcoming EP.
Von Pea and Donwill of Tanya Morgan released a new track this week, “Whatever That’s Mine”. The new track — the group’s first in some time — marks the first official leak from Tanya Morgan’s new upcoming EP, You & What Army?.
The group, who informally lost their third member Ilyas earlier in 2011, has been slowly leaking information about this newest effort for the last few months. The group originally announced the project over the summer, and only recently revealed that the project — an EP that will be available for free download — will hit the ‘net in November.
“2011 has been a transitional period, professionally and personally,” read a quote from Von Pea on the group’s site. ”Keeping that in mind, ‘Whatever That’s Mine’ is inspired by the idea that everyday is another chance to go for yours, no matter what it is that you’re after. We were so damn down before, but now we’re getting up and going for ours.”
The group also revealed that You & What Army will feature production from the likes of Von Pea, Exile, Astronote, AEON, and Brizzo. They called the track, “feel good music in its truest form.”
