Nas Announces ‘Life Is Good’ Album Release Date

Nas Announces 'Life Is Good' Album Release DateNas announced today that his newest LP, Life Is Good, will be released in mid-July of this year.

In a tweet this morning, Escobar relayed the news of an official release date for his album, which is set for July 17.

The announcement was paired with word that the newest record from Life Is Good, “Daughters”, produced by Chicago beatsmith No I.D., will hit the ‘net on May 1. It’s the fourth track released from the album, following the triumphant release of “Nasty” in late 2011. Mr. Jones is also planning to release the official music video for the track, “The Don” — which was leaked in MP3 format earlier this year — this week on April 27.

The Queenbridge poet has been at work on the album since at least the first quarter of 2011. He has made public his recent qualms with record labels — namely, Def Jam — blaming them for delaying the release of his new material.

Still, it appears as though Life Is Good, Nas’ ninth studio album, will be housed on Def Jam.
