Big Boi: Announces ‘Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors’ Album Release Date, Confirms Andre 3000 Solo Record
Half of ATL duo Outkast, last Friday, revealed that he’s eyeing a late Fall release date for his upcoming second solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors.
“BREAKING NEWS,” Big Boi tweeted last week, announcing the upcoming release of his newest effort. “Brand New Big Boi Album in Stores November 13 2012 [Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors].”
The album’s announcement comes just less than two years after the release of his first official solo record, Sir Lucious Left Foot, the Son of Chico Dusty, which released in 2010 via Def Jam and Big Boi’s Purple Ribbon imprint.
Originally slated to be titled after one of his many on-the-mic aliases, similarly to his solo debut, the rapper recently explained that the album will be changed to Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors.
In addition to announcing the release date for his own solo record, Big Boi is holding tight to his proclamations that his Outkast brethren, Andre 3000, is planning the release of his own highly-anticipated solo record following shortly after Daddy Fat Sax’s second LP.
No date has been confirmed for Andre’s release, and the rapper himself has remained mute on the subject, other than stating that he’s working on the project. But, Big Boi has been persistent in interviews that both members will release their own solo records before the release of another Outkast LP.
Big Boi’s second solo record, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, is set to be released on November 13 via Def Jam/Purple Ribbon.
