Sapient Announces ‘Tusks’ Album Release Date
Sape reveals plans to drop another solo record in August.
This weekend, Sandpeople affiliate and Portland MC and producer, Sapient, announced his plans to release his newest solo record, Eaters Volume One: Tusks.
According to Sape, the album is the first in his new series called “Eaters”, which will showcase different facets of his skill set — from production to rapping and playing guitar. Although Tusks will contain mostly instrumental work, he said, it does contain rapping and singing, as well as guitar and other instruments.
This will be just the latest in solo work from Sapient, who has been releasing solo and group offerings in rapid succession. He offered fans a quick glimpse at one of the tracks on the album and also explained the details and idea behind the record in a short video he made to announce the project.
The full album is due out on August 16.
