Freestyle Fellowship Announces ‘The Promise’ Album Release, Drops First Single
After nearly a decade of hiatus as a crew, LA’s Freestyle Fellowship is coming together for a new studio album.
Although the crew has never official disbanded, it has been almost a decade since Los Angeles crew Freestyle Fellowship released a proper album. According to Decon Records, that will change soon, in an announcement they released this week for an upcoming release from the crew.
“The legendary Freestyle Fellowship crew is back with a new project titled The Promise due out on Decon this Fall,” read the release from the label. The Project Blowed affiliates will be reuniting after a break following their last official release, the 2002 EP, Shockadoom.
Crew members Aceyalone, Myka 9, P.E.A.C.E., Self Jupiter, DJ Kiilu Grand and J Sumbi will be teaming up with producers such as Eligh, Black Milk and Exile for the effort, according to reports.
A release date has not been set for the album, but the group has revealed the full tracklist as the first single from the album.
