Doomtree Reveals Group Album ‘No Kings’ Release Date
The MN collective is preparing the release of their newest effort.
Doomtree, the venerable and rising rap group from Minneapolis, MN, revealed today that their newest group record, No Kings, has a release date scheduled for November.
In his continuing segment on the site, Tuesdays with Lazerbeak, one of the groups resident beatsmiths (and singer) provided the quick facts about the album.
“We’ve been grinding like crazy the last four months writing, recording, and mixing this new crew album,” ‘Beak wrote. “I’m thrilled to announce that yesterday we wrapped up our final mixes!”
Lazerbeak revealed that himself, POS, Mike Mictlan, Dessa, Paper Tiger, Sims and Cecil Otter are planning to release Doomtree’s No Kings on November 22.
The record will mark just the group’s third official studio album, although they have released other digital-only records and compilations. It will be the first full-group effort since their 2008 self-titled sophomore CD. The group has also worked heavily on solo material, with each member having at least a single offering to their name.
The announcement comes just after Cecil Otter, Sims and Lazerbeak announced their upcoming Good Time Zoo tour dates, which are slated to kick off next week. Check the Good Time Zoo tour dates for full information about.
