People Under The Stairs Delay New Album, ‘Highlighter’, Announce New Release Date
Acclaimed hip hop duo People Under The Stairs announced last week that their new album, Highlighters, has been pushed back due to technical complications that Thes One called, “out of their control.”
In a video on the album, Thes One revealed that the group’s eighth studio album was held up by various unforseen issues. He mentioned specifically that some of the album’s tracks weren’t mixed to perfection the first time around. “With these extra couple of days, we will be able to stop back and present the album the way it was meant to be,” wrote Thes One, offering apologies for those who had already ordered the album and were eager for its release. “For everyone that has pre-ordered, we will now also be including with your download a behind the music video documenting some of this madness.”
Thes One and Double K announced the newest People Under The Stairs album last month, originally scheduling it to be released on Friday, September 23, as an independent release through artist collective Piecelock 70.
People Under The Stairs’ new album, Highlighter, is now scheduled for release on Thursday, September 29. For more information on how to purchase the record, please visit the Piecelock 70 website.
