The Roots Announce 'UNDUN' Album Release DateThe previously-announced LP gets a drop date via Def Jam.

Members of the legendary Roots crew took to their Facebook page this weekend to announce that they have cemented a release date for their upcoming album, UNDUN, for this December.

“UNDUN, our first ever concept album, will be released Tue December 6th, 2011 via Def Jam,” read the post to The Roots’ official fan page. The announcement comes just a few months after drummer/producer ?uestlove revealed that the project was underway. It will mark the group’s 13th album in total.

It remains unclear what the “concept” of the album will be, only that it will be group’s first of the sort.

More details on the album are expected to emerge soon.

Look for The Root’s newest LP, UNDUN, to be released December 6 via Def Jam.
