Doomtree Announces Full-Week Blowout, Including Special Guests

Doomtree Announces Week-Long Blowout, Including Special GuestsThis year’s Blowout will be something to call home about.

The annual celebration of success for the Minneapolis rap crew, the yearly Doomtree Blowout, has taken a big leap forward, the crew revealed this year. Rather than the weekend-long celebration that its been in the recent years, Doomtree announced that they will be playing an entire week of shows, including performances by special guests each of the seven days.

Starting on December 4, the Twin Cities group will be occupying one of Minneapolis’ best-known venues — 7th Street Entry, attached the First Avenue, home to the famed “Purple Rain” video by Prince — to promote another year of continued growth as well as the release of their November 22 album, No Kings.

In addition to their performances, each night of the week will be a “curated performance” wherein each of the group’s six MCs will bring out number of special guest performers ranging from the P.O.S.-lead, “improvised electronic-hardcore” band, Marijuana Deathsquads, to Brother Ali and One Be Lo. The week will be capped off with an after party with mash-up crew The Hood Internet.
