Doomtree’s Dessa, Sims and Lazerbeak Announce Into The Spin Tour Dates

Part of the Minneapolis posse plans a plethora of pending tour dates.

Doomtree’s leading lady, Dessa, is teaming up with fellow Doomtree members, Sims and Lazerbeak, as she heads out on her first national headlining tour, the group announced yesterday.

“At home in Minneapolis, Dessa assembled a cast of live players to perform with her. On The Into The Spin tour, she’ll take her ensemble on the road for the first time, transforming her live set into a wry, intimate cabaret with the rapper at center stage,” read the tour announcement. “Sims [and] Lazerbeak will join Dessa on the road. Doomtree released Sims’ Bad Time Zoo (produced entirely by Lazebeak) in February.”

The tour will take place starting near the end of April, kicking off in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The three DTR crew members will carry on, for a total of 21 stops, ending in Omaha, Nebraska on May 15.

Sims’ Bad Time Zoo is the group’s most-recent release, which followed Lazerbeak’s solo release, Legend Recognize Legend. Dessa’s latest solo offering, A Badly Broken Code, was released in January of 2010.
