Grieves and Budo Added To 2011 Warped Tour Roster

Grieves and Budo, the Brooklyn-by-way-of-Seattle duo signed to Rhymesayers Entertainment, recently announced that they will be appearing at next summers Vans Warped Tour 2011.Grieves and Budo are keeping the tradition of Rhymesayers’ on Warped Tour alive.

It seems that Rhymesayers Entertainment may be the official ambassadors of hip hop to one of the world’s largest traditionally rock-oriented national tours, the Vans Warped Tour. This time, Grieves and Budo will be joining the rockers as they travel the country, setting up and tearing down in major metropolitan areas next summer.

“Think about what it would be like if Steve Vai, Ice Cube and Kenny G had a baby together,” said Grieves, explaining for those who aren’t familiar with his music, what his and Budo’s sound can be compared to.

The duo will be featured on the Skullcandy stage on the tour, appearing at 41 dates scheduled between June and August of 2011.

Grieves and Budo will be following in the footsteps of their labelmate, Doomtree’s P.O.S., who was invited to take part in last year’s Warped Tour. They two are just coming off of their own headlining tour, as well as a series of shows with Atmosphere, Blueprint and DJ Rare Groove this past fall.

Ticket pre-sales begin April 1, 2011.
