Lauryn Hill Tour Dates Announced for 2011
Ms. Hill is reemerging. The always-interesting artist, Lauryn Hill has recently announced that she will be embarking on a string of performances starting just before the end of the year and continuing well into 2011.
The former Fugee will be performing at least 19 dates — including a string of six in New York to kick off the tour — beginning in late December. With performances in St. Louis, MO, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL and other cities, things will come to a close when Ms. Hill performs her last date at the Jazz in the Gardens Festival in Miami Florida on March 20.
This string of performances will make Lauryn Hill’s first public return to the limelight since her highly-anticipated appearance among the star-studded line up of the 2010 Rock The Bells festival.
Prior to that, Hill had been largely absent from the public eye, only popping up every few years as a guest or with a new leaked track. Since then, she has announced that she plans to begin recording the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed and commercially-successful 1998 solo debut, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
