“This Is How We Do”:
Following the of his debut album, The Day The Turf Stood Still, DaVinci was met with accolades and high praise from top websites, blogs, and magazines alike. Now, following his first album is a series of other “firsts” for DaVinci. Later this month, with CMJ in his sights, DaVinci will be making his debut New York performance at the Audible Treats Showcase, but first, DaVinci is heading to Atlanta this weekend for the sixth annual A3C Hip-Hop Festival. Performing the first two evenings of the three-night, two-day hip-hop festival, the Fillmore District-repping San Franciscan – who will also be the only rapper from San Francisco performing at A3C – has released the song “This Is How We Do.” Spitting his gruff vocals atop Outkast’s classic “Steels of Wheel” as he gives props to “The Big A” and pays his respects to this city of destination for the coming weekend.
Currently DaVinci is in the process of working on a new full-length album that will be dropping in early 2011, so make sure to stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
