HiPNOTT Records are not playing when they call the Kurser remixes ‘vastly different’ of K. Sparks’ A Day In The Life. Read on for what else they had to say about the upcoming remix project:

Vastly different from the original album released in March, A Day In The Life [The Kurser Remix Suite] finds Kurser trading in the jazzy, boom bap soundtrack crafted by original beatsmith G.C. for a more experimental take on the album. Production ranges from the rock-driven, Sean Price assisted “Keep Movin”, to the gutter hip hop sounds of “Sometimes” and the dancehall vibed “Mind Elevation” featuring Cymarshall Law.

Originally recorded by K. Sparks in just one day, A Day In The Life is a fitting title for this conceptual project as listeners are taken from the beginning to end of a typical day in Sparks’ life. The album is an exploration into all aspects of the artist’s identity, a reveal he faces in an intimate and emotionally supercharged way. Sparks provides the A Day in the Life tour using inventive wordplay, internal rhyming, battle raps, storytelling and eye-widening punch-lines.

Also dropping on December 7, 2010 is the special edition re-release to the original A Day In The Life, featuring three bonus tracks not available on original release. This special edition version will only be available on compact disc and will be sold through www.hipnottrecords.com.
