If you’re one the considers yourself a fan of “jazz-hop” or jazz-inspired hip-hop you’re in for a little bit a different sound here. Junkyard Empire is a crew from Minneapolis that–first of all, just look at the members–is clearly different from the typical hip-hop quintet, even of the live-performance variety. Their sound is undoubtedly jazz infused with hip-hop. But not really blended–just on a collision course. This track deals with conflict, specifically the one between Palestine and Israel.
